University Hill
Childcare Centre

Insite Architects was involved in full architectural services for this 120  place childcare centre. The centre is situated in the new commercial component of the commercial/ residential estate called University Hill.

We were able to capitalize on the corner site aspect by creating a grand but fun entrance for the kids. We incorporated 2 large blue columns flanking a high overhang in the front entry design to maximize the visibility of the site. To overcome the issue presented to us with a sloping site we built retaining walls which provide a flat and safe area for the children and staff to be in. With natural light and a large car park the site became operational 2010.
