Alphington Bowls Club

The existing bowling club lacked outdoor social space that provided protection from the weather.

The project aimed to respond to the brief by providing a covered area for club members and the local community. The canopy also provides cover for the outdoor kitchen and servery. This was achieved by creating a structure affixed to the old building that covers the new area.

The design will include laser cut corten steel with bowling terminology laser cut into vertical panels. The panels will rust through exposure to the elements, adding a more permanent feel to the structure.
