Why Custom Home Design?
Why on earth go to the trouble of having a home custom-designed for you, when there are so many “house plans” available on the Internet and at the bookstore? Why pay more for the services of an architect?
Good questions, and ones we ask of ourselves and our clients everyday. We’ve heard a wide variety of answers — from “personalisation” to “prestige” but most of them come down to one thing: attitude.
Our clients care about the design of their daily environment; it’s important to them that their homes function well, function efficiently, and look good doing so. But it isn’t enough that their homes simply “work” — our clients want their homes to inspire. If you’ve never lived in a good architect-designed home you might not understand how a house can inspire; here’s how some of our clients have put it into words:

Okay, that last one makes us blush a little — but creating that kind of daily living experience in a home is what we do best. You can have a house, or you can have a home…our job is creating the latter!
