Chadstone Early Learning

Located within Chadstone Shopping Centre, this early learning centre was designed to establish a strong and recognisable identity within a highly active retail environment. A bespoke entry feature became central to the project response — incorporating a series of colourful interactive discs, some of which rotate and can be engaged with by children as they enter the space. The installation creates an immediately playful and tactile arrival experience while helping the centre stand out within the broader shopping centre setting.

Internally, the design balances warmth and clarity through soft timber finishes, integrated acoustic treatments, and open learning environments designed to feel calm, engaging, and intuitive for children and educators alike. Layered timber arches within the main hallway establish rhythm and visual interest through the circulation spine, while landscaped outdoor play areas encourage exploration and interaction. The result is a childcare environment that feels distinctive, welcoming, and carefully considered from arrival through to the learning spaces beyond.
